Deadwood

Probably the best show on TV right now, Deadwood, just had another spectacular episode last night. And boy was it a doozy. Probably the most brutally realistic fight scene I have ever seen. I don't know if I'd really like to watch it again. I'm also reminded how happy I am not to have lived and died in the old West. I'm happy to be getting rid of the cable, but I will miss the weekly Deadwoods.

Well, they've cancelled "Deadwood", so you won't be missing many new episodes if you get rid of your cable.

Yeah. It's a shame too. Such great characters and dialogue.

We just spent way too much time vegging out in front of it. It is scary. I just cancelled today, and I was sort of thinking, "What do people do now-a-days except watch TV?" OK, I'm kind of kidding, but it is sort of integral to my/our existence.
I also am hoping to fill the time with other hobbies. Like reading! I only recently picked up a book. I don't think I had read anything since I got my MA. I also have this sweet Stratocaster that I have barely touched, and I have these wild notions of taking the mcat and getting back in school. But that notion may be craziest of all. I sort of swore off school after the Master's.

Actually I was thinking of buying a Playstation 2 just to fill the empty void.
