I thought Donovan was pretty much a non-factor. Johnson had some nice shots though.

I'd put Convey in instead of O'Brien but that's about the "dream" lineup I had in mind for the US this coming game, especially considering the form some of our players showed last game.

If Arena doesn't start Eddie Johnson or have two strikers I'm turning in my Arena fanclub card for good.

Also, Jefe, IMHO Donovan didn't play particularly well because he's playing out of position at striker in a 5-4-1. He's most definitely not striker, even a deep second striker material whatsoever.

No excuse, but, still.

You'd stick with Convey? He was one of few who attacked with pace yesterday, but he also couldn't get his crosses more than 3 feet of the ground. I thought O'Brien showed good control with the ball, which would be useful for feeding Johnson on the ground rather than moving up the sidelines and then swinging in mechanically, which seemed to be the preferred mode of attack yesterday.

Convey looked too good in the build up the cup (even recently) to replace with a who knows if he's fit O'Brien... I don't think O'brien can even be considered to go 90 minutes.
