In Memoriam

Someone on a message board cited the following quote to eulogize Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin, who died Sunday after being stabbed through the heart by a stingray. I thought it was extremely apt, especially since it was not at all written for the event.

Raoul Duke: There he goes, one of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high-powered mutant, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

That's really perfect, actually.

Apt quote. Hey, admit though, it was going to happen someday. Did you some of the dumb stuff that Irwin did? That said though, he has done some awesome things for conservation through out Australia which is truly admirable.

Have you seen the pictures going around about his death? It had to happen eventually - especially the one with the croc jumping out of the water saying "Come on boys, it's safe to come out now."

Yeah, I only found out about his Australia Zoo after he passed.

The pictures, I've avoided.

Yeah - they are pretty terrible in light of the situation. People can be real assholes sometimes.
